In “Peter Rabbit 2” – like in the original movie – the human actors often share the screen with talking animal counterparts, such as Peter Rabbit and his sisters. But since these smaller co-stars are animated, the actors had to use their imaginations in these interactions. Luckily, director Will Gluck had a valuable tool to make this easier for them. “The beauty of the Surface Book 2 is that you can detach the screen. I could walk into the set with the actor and show what they’re acting against. That was a big game changer,” says Gluck, who filmed the movie in Australia pre-pandemic and has upgraded his Surface devices consistently over the years. Read more over at Microsoft Stories Asia.]]>

The post Best in class, Microsoft Classroom Pen 2 empowers every student to achieve more appeared first on Microsoft Devices Blog.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students and educators have had to navigate a wide range of learning scenarios, from remote, to hybrid, and in some parts of the world, a return to face-to-face learning. In many of these cases, schools and districts had to adopt new technologies to maintain teaching and learning efforts. Now, these institutions have an opportunity to use this technology to continue to rethink and redefine traditional classroom approaches for their students. One major way schools are making this happen already is by moving from relying on pen and paper towards empowering students and teachers to write and teach with digital ink and ink-enabled devices. Digital inking also helps schools and institutions promote sustainability by lowering paper and printer usage. Instead of having students buy and carry around notebooks for every class, or having educators print out worksheets for a given topic, everyone can write directly on their Surface device. This can make a huge difference, as an average school uses about 50 reams of paper[1]—about 2.5 trees[2]—per teacher annually. Some schools who have made the switch already are seeing impressive sustainability results. Wellington College, a boarding school in the U.K., wanted to provide the same devices to each student and faculty member on campus. Due to their two-in-one functionalities and high-performance inking capabilities, the school chose to provide each student with Microsoft Surface devices. After adopting Surface devices for their digital inking capabilities, the school calculated it was saving 3.8 million sheets of paper every school year. If you stacked those sheets on top of each other, that stack would be about 250 meters high— five times the height of Nelson’s Column in London! Leaders at Wellington College also calculated that they were able to save about £120 for each device purchased, by no longer having to purchase printer paper and toner. Infographic That’s why we set out to reimagine the Microsoft Classroom Pen. For us, reducing pen costs to meet the needs of purchasing institutions while keeping the inclusive design fit for students of any age were of utmost importance. And on April 27, to continue empowering educators and students to achieve more, we will be proud to launch Microsoft Classroom Pen 2. Microsoft Classroom Pen 2 is optimized for use with Surface Go and Surface Pro and enables students of all ages to write and draw naturally on their screens via an improved design and longer enclosure. The durable pen tip is replaceable, and it’s easy to prevent loss with a built-in slot for a tether or the clip that attaches to Surface Type Covers. And even with those improvements, the Classroom Pen 2 is only half the cost of the original.Microsoft Classroom Pen 2 will be available exclusively to education institutions starting on April 27, 2021. It will be sold in packs of 20 for a cost of $399.80 USD ($19.99 per pen) and includes batteries and replacement pen tips. Surface Pro 7+ joins the Surface for Business portfolio – offering the versatility, connectivity and security that business and educational institutions need to adapt to the changing landscape. Additionally, Surface Hub 2S 85” will begin shipping broadly to business and education customers in select markets later this month. The year 2020 brought one of the biggest accelerations of digital transformation in our lifetime. Across industries, the shift to remote and hybrid productivity was a tipping point to redefine the future of how we work, collaborate and learn outside physical office spaces or classrooms. We have seen a significant increase in the reliance on technology to keep organizations connected. In the past year, Surface usage within enterprise organizations nearly doubled driven by strong growth in the use of collaboration and productivity apps to maintain business continuity. Today, we are pleased to share the next step in our journey to support our business and education customers with the introduction of Surface Pro 7+ for Business. And to help organizations bridge the digital and physical divide in today’s hybrid spaces, we’re beginning to ship Surface Hub 2S 85” broadly in select markets later this month.

What we have learned in the last year

As a company, we are committed to designing technology that fosters productivity, creativity and connection to empower people to be successful wherever they work and learn. We have spoken at length with many of our customers in the last year, listening to their journeys into remote everything. These discussions, combined with extensive commissioned research and the work done by our research team, have helped us understand their rapidly evolving needs. This is a critical part of our development process – ensuring business and education customer voices are not only heard but brought directly into our product development. We found four key learnings during these conversations and research:
 • The future of working and learning is hybrid and requires more flexibility: Views on remote work have changed: 82% of managers say they will have more flexible work from home policies post pandemic, and 71% of employees want to continue work from home at least part time. And while more people are working and learning from home, they are facing new physical space constraints as well as distractions that can interfere with productivity. People are sharing spaces throughout their home and are moving locations more throughout their days to stay productive and accommodate others.
 • Connectivity is critical to uninterrupted business operations: Poor internet performance at home is a new challenge many are facing. With multiple people in a household now connecting from home, it is putting a strain on bandwidth – where people are using their cell phones more often as hot spots for online meetings due to poor internet connectivity.
 • Camera to camera is the new face to face: Connection to one another is an area that arguably has felt the most challenging – people are missing the energy and connection that was attained when we could be together in a room physically. People are now relying on their device’s cameras, screens, speakers and microphones to be seen and heard. We have learned through our research that people are feeling more empathetic to one another now, that through the lens of a video call they have a better view of life at home and even feel more valued and included as a remote contributor in meetings with everyone being in the same virtual room.
 • End to end security from chip to cloud is more critical than ever before: Rapid digitization means almost everything has gone online. Organizations need their data and workflows to be secure to enable remote and hybrid work. Devices need end to end security features to enable the productivity needed to maintain business continuity.
Customer obsession is core to who we are at Surface. We create products inspired by customers and with their feedback in mind. We continue to listen and evolve our product roadmap and priorities for Surface to support our business and education customers. This is why today, we’re introducing Surface Pro 7+ for Business. From small and medium size businesses to the largest organizations, Surface Pro 7+ is purpose-built with the needs of our business and education customers in mind. This next generation of Surface Pro stays true to its ethos – delivering on top customer requested updates while maintaining the same iconic design so customers can continue to leverage their existing investments.

Surface Pro 7+ for Business – Purpose-built for business and education customers

When we first introduced Surface Pro, we wanted to challenge the concept that people should have to choose between the portability and convenience of a tablet and the power and productivity of a traditional laptop. In the last seven years, Surface Pro has become known for its versatility, power and performance, brilliant touch screen, pen capabilities and great battery life. It is by far our most widely adopted Surface device across business and education customers. We continue to be inspired by our customers and their use of Surface – like two long time Surface Pro customers: Gaumard Scientific, which is deploying Surface Pro devices to hospitals and remote locations for patient training simulations, and Black-owned destination wear and fashion brand Bohn Jsell, which uses Surface Pro’s pen and inking capabilities to design clothing and face masks. Surface Pro 7+ offers the adaptability to dock into external displays and leverage the needed peripherals for a full workstation setup. Continuing with Surface Pro’s iconic form factor, we are introducing optional LTE Advanced with Surface Pro 7+, a top requested customer feature that helps keep people connected at home if Wi-Fi bandwidth is limited or if they are in a remote location. We have added the latest 11th Gen Intel Core Processors, with 2.1 times faster performance, and longer battery life of up to 15 hours. Surface Pro 7+ offers the versatility people need to work wherever, whenever they want. And with both USB-A and USB-C ports, Surface Pro 7+ offers the adaptability to dock into external displays and leverage the needed peripherals for a full workstation setup. For the human connection that everyone is craving, we have integrated front and rear facing cameras into Surface Pro 7+ with 1080p full HD video along with Dolby Atmos speakers and dual far-field Studio Microphones so people can be seen and heard. Updated packaging for Surface Pro 7+ for Business. In response to customer feedback for a more streamlined workflow to easily get devices to their employees no matter where they are and for more environmentally friendly packaging, we are pleased to share that Surface Pro 7+ sets a new level for lightweight, sustainable commercial packaging. It is 23% lighter than the previous generation and is made from 99% natural fiber-based material, of which 64% is post-consumer recycled content. These updates are also reflective of our continued commitment to sustainability. The Surface Pro 7+ Wi-Fi configuration starts at $899USD, with the LTE Advanced configuration beginning at $1,149USD. Business and education customers in select markets across Asia, Europe and North America can order Surface Pro 7+ through their local resellers today, with shipping beginning at the end of this week.

Surface Hub 2S 85” begins shipping broadly this month

As organizations plan for a hybrid return to work, many are recognizing the importance of large screen, collaborative devices like Surface Hub. Today, we’re excited to share that Surface Hub 2S 85” will begin shipping to business and education customers broadly in select markets later this month. Team members collaborating on Microsoft Whiteboard on Surface Hub 2S 85”. Customers have shared with us how much they love the Windows 10 Team Operating system on their Surface Hubs for simple walk up use and group collaboration. As the workplace continues to change, we understand that some customers want more flexibility to meet the needs of their rapidly evolving workplace. So we’re also pleased to share that customers can now take advantage of the Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise configurations on Surface Hub 2S 85”, enabling them to run all of their business critical applications utilizing the massive 4K PixelSense touch and ink enabled screen, Microsoft Teams certified audio and video, and an array of onboard sensors. It is incredible to see how customers are using Surface Hub to collaborate and streamline their operations. From manufacturing floors in England and France at Renault DP World F1 to a Northwestern University remote classroom in Chicago, Illinois, we have continued to see organizations transform how they use Surface Hub to stay agile and resilient, underscoring its value in today’s changing landscape. “Surface Hub has proven to be a valuable tool for keeping our teams at Renault DP World F1 Team connected and productive across our two engineering and manufacturing plants in England and France,” says Pierre d’Imbleval, CIO, Renault DP World F1 Team. “The ability to collaborate with colleagues no matter their physical location through Microsoft Teams on Hub’s beautiful large screen has enabled us to maintain the business and personal continuity needed to help us navigate remote work. We also love the Surface Hub because, despite its size, it's very portable and can be shared across useful locations in our headquarters.” Members of the Information Systems/Business Intelligence team at Renault DP World F1 Team presenting the daily Work Orders report analysis on Surface Hub. “I use the Surface Hub 2S configured with Windows 10 Pro to run various communication programs including Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Whiteboard,” says Professor Mohan Sawhney, Associate Dean for Digital Innovation, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. “I see this hybrid environment lasting beyond the pandemic, at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, we are learning how to combine the best of virtual learning with the best of in-person learning to create immersive and engaging digital-first experiences. Tools like the Surface Hub, complemented with collaboration and livestreaming software, will be essential to creating the next generation of work and learning experiences.” As different parts of the world plan for their returns to the office or classroom or rethink what hybrid and satellite environments mean for their organizations, Surface Hub will be there to ease that transition, helping to bridge the digital and physical divide. Security, deployment and manageability by design

As more people connect to the internet and work and learn from home, organizations are witnessing increasingly sophisticated and targeted attacks. At the same time organizations need agility to deploy devices directly to people’s homes and manage devices running on home networks securely, without having to physically touch devices. For the first time, Surface Pro 7+ ships with Windows Enhanced Hardware Security features enabled out of the box. We are excited to see such great boosts in both performance and battery while enabling robust Device Protection features. Customers can have peace of mind in knowing they get great security without compromising employee or student experiences. Surface devices can be managed and updated through the cloud from the first moment the device is turned on and throughout the device lifecycle without IT having to physically touch the device. This helps protect identities and defend against malicious drivers and supply chain attacks. We accomplish this through tight integration between the UEFI (modern BIOS), firmware, and the Windows operating system stack. We have shared our implementation of the Microsoft UEFI as open source on GitHub as Project Mu. Remote deployment is also critical in a hybrid work environment. Surface devices use the latest Microsoft deployment capabilities like Windows Autopilot to enable devices to ship directly from the factory to people’s homes and be ready to go with security policies, applications and settings applied. Windows Autopilot gets people online, connected and productive as quickly as possible, and eliminates time consuming re-imaging and manual device set up for IT departments. “Automatically deploying devices in people’s homes without the need for a technician was a great advantage for us and saved countless hours,” says Peter Jamieson, Chief Technology Officer & Director of Digital Transformation, Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. “It allowed us to get up and running quickly to meet the mandate for the department. We are proof that you can run a government department from employees’ homes." Finally, we know it is important for customers to be in control of their data. Surface Pro 7+ will also feature a removable SSD for data retention, to support the security and privacy needs of business and educational organizations. This feature, combined with Microsoft BitLocker protection, makes it easy for customers to retain sensitive data if something happens to their device. Surface Pro 7+ will feature a removable SSD for data retention, to support the security and privacy needs of business and educational organizations. We remain steadfast in our company mission to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more. We feel a tremendous sense of responsibility to support our customers in this time. Across the Surface portfolio from Surface Duo to Surface Hub 2S 85”, Surface is more than a device – it is a strategic enabler for business and educational organizations, a tool to bring people together, to collaborate, to learn and harnesses the full power of Microsoft across productivity, the cloud and security. Available for preorder today, Surface Laptop Go extends the Surface lineup by delivering standout design at a more affordable price. The idea of working and learning from home, which at one point felt temporary, has for many of us started to feel more permanent. Even as some people in cities around the world return to work and schools in person, many others have found themselves reorganizing homes to create makeshift offices and classrooms. For families, students and businesses looking for a new device to add to their households or organizations, Surface Laptop Go offers a premium Surface look and feel at an amazing value. Meet Surface Pro X We introduced Surface Pro X last October to push the boundaries for what an always connected, ultra-light and incredibly thin 2:1 device could be. It’s built for people who are ready for what’s next – who need to be connected, productive and creative at any time. We partnered closely with Qualcomm to design custom silicon to create a powerful PC that benefits from generations of innovations in mobile architectures. Today, Surface Pro X is getting even better, with a new configuration that includes our next-generation custom processor and a new Platinum finish, along with new app experiences, resulting in longer battery life and increased performance across all Surface Pro X devices. For our customers who need more power, we’ve refreshed our top end SKUs by adding the new Microsoft SQ 2 processor – the fastest processor in its class[2] – and a new Platinum finish. The new configurations start at $1499.99. We’re also introducing three new colors for the Signature Keyboard: Platinum, Ice Blue and Poppy Red, all with the same built-in storage and wireless charging for the Surface Slim Pen. Surface Pro X brings you the best of today’s web-first experiences like Microsoft 365, Microsoft Edge, Netflix, Spotify and more, while supporting thousands of the existing Windows apps you know and love today like Google Chrome, Firefox and Whatsapp. We are also excited about the momentum we are seeing from key app partners embracing Windows 10 on ARM, taking advantage of the power and performance benefits of Microsoft SQ 1 and SQ 2 processors to bring new experiences to all Surface Pro X customers. We’ve made Microsoft Edge faster and announced a new version of Microsoft Teams optimized for Windows on ARM. We will also expand support for running x64 apps with x64 emulation, starting to roll out to Windows Insiders later this year. For developers, Visual Studio code has been updated to run natively. For organizations, we’re committed to help you ensure your apps work with Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 Apps on ARM64 devices with App Assure with Fast Track. All of this adds up to overall faster performance and longer battery life. Surface Pro X now gets up to 15 hours of battery life across both configurations. Surface Pro X is the thinnest and most connected 2:1 we’ve ever shipped and we’re excited to deliver these new experiences at a time when connectivity has never been more top of mind. Access to fast, reliable bandwidth to support remote learning and working for multiple people in a household has become challenging for many. With ultra-fast Gigabit LTE connectivity, Surface Pro X users always have a direct connection on demand – even if their kids are on Xbox or their roommate is on a video call. Surface Hub 2S bridges digital and physical divide in today’s hybrid workspaces Tue, 22 Sep 2020 15:00:34 +0000 Update 1/11/2021: Microsoft announced that Surface Hub 2S 85” will begin shipping broadly to business and education customers in select markets around the world this month. Surface Hub 2S bridges digital and physical divide in today’s hybrid workspaces appeared first on Microsoft Devices Blog.

Update 1/11/2021: Microsoft announced that Surface Hub 2S 85” will begin shipping broadly to business and education customers in select markets around the world this month. For more information visit this link.

Surface Hub 2S expands product line with new 85” device available for pre-sales reservations in the U.S. starting today and two new critical software capabilities to enable people to collaborate efficiently and effectively no matter where they’re working from.

We designed the first Surface Hub for teams to use together - pushing the boundaries of hardware and software to deliver a meeting and collaboration experience that transcended the confines of the traditional conference room. We wanted to connect teams dispersed across buildings and time zones with a new, more intuitive and inclusive way to hold meetings, share content and work together. With the changes in our work landscape and more people working remotely, now more than ever businesses are looking for technology that helps recreate the energy and connection we feel when we're in a room together. In these last six months of remote work, we’ve seen our customers transform how they use Surface Hub across a range of industries, underscoring its value in today’s workplace. For example, healthcare providers, hospitals and pandemic crisis response teams have used Surface Hub to bridge collaboration between remote offices, satellite locations and central response locations. Some even placing Surface Hub in wards and specific locations so that communities can be kept in contact with frontline services, on large screens that allow them to access the information they need. We’ve seen schools and educational institutions accelerating their digital transformation driven by the need to offer equitable remote or hybrid learning for students. To increase engagement, many institutions are replacing older technology including projectors and whiteboards with digital collaboration solutions like Surface Hub. In the public sector, Surface Hub is being used in virtual crisis centers and is playing a role increasing collaboration between police departments, public safety and national security workers, reducing the need for travel between offices or other remote locations. A wide variety of organizations see a clear need for digital tools like Surface Hub to engage teams and enable collaboration wherever people are physically located. As many parts of the world move back to the office or plan for new hybrid and satellite work environments, Surface Hub will be there to ease that transition – even with new considerations in space planning like the need for social distancing. One benefit to a larger screen that Hub provides is that it can help implement social distancing for people to stay six feet apart while working together. Today, we're pleased to share four important announcements for Surface Hub:
 • Pre-sales reservations for Surface Hub 2S 85” start today in the U.S. Businesses can begin pre-sales reservations for Surface Hub 2S 85” in the U.S. today with more markets to follow later this year. Availability will begin in January 2021.
 • Bringing the full Windows 10 desktop experience to Surface Hub 2S with Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise configurations. For the first time ever, you can run the same Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Enterprise that runs on your PC on Surface Hub – giving you the same familiar experience and features you enjoy on your PC, like the taskbar, Start menu, applications and more on a brilliant large screen.
 • Introducing the Windows 10 Team 2020 Update coming in October. This update addresses top customer requests and brings new added features to help customers configure, manage and collaborate on their first generation and second-generation Surface Hub 2S devices.
 • Bringing Surface Hub 2S 50” to China later this year. We know how important it is for global companies to support collaboration and connection for their teams across the world, so we’re excited to bring Surface Hub to China to enable these organizations and their teams to stay productive, no matter their location or time zone.
Surface Hub 2S 85” now available for pre-sales reservations Surface Hub 2S 85" Beginning today, Surface Hub 2S 85” is available for pre-sales reservations to commercial customers in the U.S. with more markets to follow in the coming months and availability starting in January 2021.* On Surface Hub 2S 85”, we applied the same attention to detail that we give to each product in our portfolio. Except this time, we brought it to a truly massive scale. This new, larger size represents a culmination of years of listening to our customers to better understand their needs. At more than 85” we have brought customers a larger screen in a smaller chassis than the previous version, with bezels that are 45% smaller, a display that is 20% thinner, and overall 30% lighter in weight than its predecessor. The fit and finish of the product is remarkable, delivering a level of quality that cannot be found elsewhere. To help customers bring people, place and technology together, we collaborated with our partners at Steelcase to co-design a series of mount solutions. Steelcase Roam for the Surface Hub 2S 85” brings a floating wall mount for perfect integration, a floor supported wall mount for easy install, and a mobile cart that provides flexibility and reconfigurability for any space. To learn more about how IT Pros can prepare for Surface Hub 2S 85” check out the Surface IT Pro page on Microsoft Docs. Introducing Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise on Surface Hub 2 Earlier this month, we shared details about a new configuration of Surface Hub 2S 50” with Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Enterprise, which is now available for customers to install. The Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise configuration on Surface Hub 2S gives people a truly personalized Windows experience on a brilliant large screen with all of the familiar features in Windows they enjoy on their PC, like the taskbar, Start menu and the window management customization. Also included are features like browser favorites, the ability to run any app like they would on their PC, and task view that can be synched across other PCs for continuity no matter the device people are working on. This provides great flexibility while having meetings, allowing for standing or even moving around, with the freedom to leverage multiple modes of input from ink, touch, or mouse and keyboard. We’re excited about how this new configuration can help our customers be more collaborative during a time when personal connection is more important than ever. Finally, people can now quickly sign in with Windows Hello using the Surface Hub 2 Fingerprint Reader, which will be exclusively available for use with the Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise on Surface Hub 2 configuration. Rolling out the Windows 10 Team 2020 Update in October The Windows 10 Team Edition for Surface Hub is designed for large screens and meeting rooms with optimized support for enterprise management and the security required for a shared device. For example, Windows 10 Team ensures protocols like wiping the device in between meetings to ensure important information isn’t shared beyond your meeting. Here at Ignite, we’re happy to share more about the next major update coming to Surface Hub, called the Windows 10 Team 2020 Update. With this update we will begin to release major updates for Surface Hub on a more familiar cadence, bringing enhancements, features and security improvements to organizations around the world who have moved to a hybrid work environment, or fully returned to work. This update addresses top customer requests, starting with full support for organizations using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) to manage their Surface Hub devices. We also added features to help customers configure and manage their Surface Hub devices, including modern authentication for cloud device accounts. Lastly, this update introduces significant improvements to help end-users meet and collaborate on a Surface Hub device, including support for the new Microsoft Edge, support for proximity join with Microsoft Teams and more. The Windows 10 Team 2020 Update will start to roll out as a free update to all Surface Hub customers next month. Looking ahead to a post COVID-19, hybrid work environment We are inspired by the enterprises taking advantage of Surface Hub as they navigate the hybrid workplace and transform their meeting rooms into spaces where people can not only meet, but can collaborate together in the room and with people who are remote. One of those customers is MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, a major driving force behind the evolution of smart shipping containers that is helping to set the standard for digital shipping. Mediterranean Shipping Company relies on their 70,000 employees located in 493 offices to keep 560 vessels going to 500 ports of call in 155 countries that carry the goods we all rely on every day. With so many employees in many different offices, MSC has turned to Microsoft and Surface Hub as their preferred meeting and collaboration solution worldwide. “The ability for our teams to seamlessly connect to meetings, share content, work through issues in whiteboarding sessions regardless of location through Microsoft Teams and on Surface Hub ensures we can keep cargo moving at all times regardless of circumstances. We have continued to embrace Surface Hub with the launch of Surface Hub 2 and are looking forward to the experiences and advances that Surface Hub 2 85” will enable as we re-imagine the future of workspaces post COVID-19.” - Fabio Catassi, chief technology officer at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company At Microsoft we are committed to empowering organizations to transform their meeting spaces in today’s world. Surface has been at the forefront of innovation in creating category defining devices to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more—and now that mission has been expanded to include anytime, anywhere. What started with Surface creating the 2 in 1 category has grown into a portfolio that addresses the needs of our customers wherever they are and however they work and play. We’re energized about what’s to come for Surface Hub and our customers as we see teams and companies relying on technology more than ever to stay connected and get things done, together. Videos show what the Surface Duo can help you do better Wed, 09 Sep 2020 16:00:39 +0000 The new Surface Duo, which will be available in stores starting Sept. 10, opens up all kinds of possibilities in how you can work and communicate on a dual-screen device.

As Windows + Devices Chief Product Officer Panos Panay wrote in an Videos show what the Surface Duo can help you do better appeared first on Microsoft Devices Blog.

Aug. 12 blog post, “We didn’t set out to combine two existing devices – the tablet and the laptop. We had a vision for how we could take the best elements of each to create something entirely new.” Surface Duo opens into the thinnest mobile device on the market, connecting two PixelSense Fusion Displays to create one expansive 8.1-inch screen. The Dynamic 360-degree hinge makes it possible to use each screen individually or together, across a variety of modes. See below for a series of videos that show how Surface Duo can help you do several tasks better, helping you stay focused much like with two monitors side by side. Also, you can create your own custom app groups, choosing from Microsoft 365 apps or other apps from the Google Play store. This video illustrates how easy it is to open up two apps or sites side by side, instead of having to go back and forth between tabs: Or, maybe you want to span one image – or a whole gallery – across the two screens: If you sometimes find emailing cumbersome on a phone, you can flip the Duo 90 degrees to compose an email on one of the screens, while getting more real estate for the email on the other one: And when you want to take notes during a Teams call, you can do that on the other screen while you are still engaged in the meeting: As Panay wrote, “The ability to get things done shouldn’t be limited to just when you were sitting in front of a traditional PC.” If this sounds like the solution you’re looking for, find out more about the Surface Duo.]]>
